I'm back!

After a long absence, I am ready to start blogging again. Actually, this is an early start to my New Year's Resolutions.  I am committing to blog once a day for 365 days. The focus will be on health and beauty, two things I am passionate about.

I will scour the Internet, blogs and pinterest for things that interest me and are related to my subject. Right now I am obsessed with running so I am sure that will be a theme throughout the year.  I also really like makeup and hair tips. So much on these topics as well.

There is a challenged attached to all of this, you knew there would be, I'm going to try everything I blog on. This should be interesting. My personal goal is to keep off the weight I have managed to lose (yay, back to pre-babies weight), tone up, drink less soft drinks, try a new hair style...you get the picture.

This is going to be fun and a challenging!

whoops!

Well we had a false alarm...ok I had a false alarm. I thought my water broke last week when I went to the bathroom only to find my panties soaked. Hmmm I said to my self.

Did I pee on my self (again)? Well i did not want to to raise the alarm so I did the only thing I thought I could do.....ok use your imaginations here because even I will not put this down in writing on what I did...

Once I determined it was not urine, I walked into Lynn's office and said can your water break and it just be a trickle? We got on the phone to ask a few people, checked online and finally decided to call the doctor.

Well of course it has to be the doctor I like least in the practice that is on call. She tells me to come to the hospital where they proceed to do an exam.

Ok ladies, I have had many a pelvic exams, with relatively no pain. However, this was awful - no lube! So she swabbed and left to check things out under the microscope.

She comes back and tells me nope - water still intact and no babies today. Whew! I am happy with this news. All in all I was there for 30 minutes.

Apparently these boys are happy in their home and are in no hurry to come out anytime soon on their own.

Pregnant Posse

Here is a recent picture with me and a "few" of my pregnant friends. There seems to be an epidemic. I have decided that it was a very cold February with a snow storm thrown in that has produced so many pregnancies. I would like to know how this year compares to when hurricane Hugo came through Columbia.

Today I am at 35 weeks with two weeks to go for before the big day. The nursery is ready but not sure mom & dad are. We've taken all the classes, read the books, and asked advice from our friends with kids - but nothing really prepares you for that moment when you hold them in your arms that first time.

I am just grateful for each day and for those special friends that have been so supportive these past 8 months. I know they will continue when the Viera Boys arrive and that gives me great comfort.

Braxton Hicks

No this is not what we are naming one of the boys, nor is it the name of our doctor. This is the name of contractions that are considered "for practice" before the big debut.

Personally I don't need to practice and second these things are getting in my way of getting things done.

Imagine someone pulling your skin super tight and then there is this hard little ball it's being stretched over......

That is what it feels like to me.

So we have about 3 weeks until delivery. I hope I make it physically and especially emotionally. I have had two crying jags in as many weeks and that is so not like me.

I know Chris is ready for me to be back to normal. He has been wonderful, but I see a little bit of panic in his eyes when I get overwhelmed. I think we are both ready for the next stage - BABIES!

Amazing

I've been feeling the babies kick for sometime now. Each day they are getting stronger and stronger. This makes me happy and I know they are growing.

Chris and I were watching a little tv the other night in our upstairs bonus room. That room is hot-hot in the summer and chilly in the winter. While we were up there, I had pulled my top up so my belly could feel the cool fan blowing in the room.

Amazingly, I looked down and saw what looked like a wave across my belly. I shouted to Chris look at this, and we saw it again. For about 5 minutes this continued.

It took my breath away and made me realize what a miracle this pregnancy is for our family. I am now feeling and seeing them as they find a comfortable spot inside. My stomach looks like the leaning tower of Pisa.

Everyday brings new and exciting changes that I want to share with everyone~
