Week One

As part of my resolutions for 2009, I decided I needed to get back into my bikini....
This actually started last year, in October before the holidays. I got serious when I joined weight watchers 3 weeks ago.

I had my first weigh in last Wednesday and 2 lbs were lost! YAY!!!!

Considering I have never been on a diet and detest the word DIET, this was a big step for me. However I soon learned that WW is not a diet but a true lifestyle change. This makes me feel a bit better.

Part of the program requires you to figure out how many points you may eat in one day. They have a formula you plug in some info and Boom you have your points intake. I can have 23 points a day.

Next you have to devise a meal plan for yourself that does not exceed 23 points but you also must eat all 23 points in a day.

Tricky part...how do I do this! WW provides books and helpful charts on calculating points.

Hard part...staying full! this means going to the grocery store and paying attention to what I eat and the portions of food.

2 lbs! Yay!!!!

Another aspect of WW is to think about your goals for each week. Since I have been out sick since my last weigh in my goal has been to continue to eat healthy and resist the junk food I normally like to consume when I feel like shit.

Tomorrow is my second weigh in. I feel confident that I have not gained any weight, but not sure if I lost anything......
